Artists / Bryansk regional art museum and exhibition center

The Bryansk Regional Artistic Museum and Exhibition Centre was established by decree of Bryansk Region administration. There were The Regional Art Museum and The Exhibition Hall merger. In 2010 The Exhibition Hall was excluded from Centre’s structure. The Regional Art Museum was founded in 1968. 810 exhibits of oil painting, graphic art, decorative and applied art have become the base of Museum’s collection. The Museum’s depository increased by the donation of icon collection, which were gathered around Bryansk region and given to museum in 1978.
It became the beginning of icons and copper plastic collecting. The permanent exposition represents of items such as folk crafts, icons and copper plastic, Russian painting (XIX - XX), sculpture, art castings and ceramics. In the halls of the museum exhibit works of art (by A. Savrasov, V. Polenov, A. Zubov, I. Shishkin, V. Serov), painting from twenties to nineties years of XX century (I. Mashkov, A. Deyneko, V. Rozhdestvensky, V. Stozharov, P. Ossovsky and others).
Decorative art exhibits by works of art such painter as V. Mukhina, B. Smirnov, E. Shuvalov. Sculpture represents of compositions by A. Golubkina, Z. Villensky, I. Shadr, S. Konnenkov and others. There are more than 80 icons latest painting from XVIII to XIX exhibit in icon painting exposition.
