The exhibition is held in the year of 120th birth anniversary of Arkady Plastov (1893-1972). Plastov who was one of the most significant representatives of the peasant theme in the Soviet Art of the 1930-1960s, had embodied in his paintings the deeply truthful images of the inhabitants of his native village Prisloniha and the scenes of everyday life of the latter. In Arkady Plastovs art the beauty and ethical content of usual genre motifs is revealed in penetrative form. There are also presented the unique graphic works by Arkady Plastov, book illustrations and photographs from the artists archive. Also on the show are the works by the other representatives of Plastovs dynasty who turned to different genres and views of arts. There will be presented by A.A.Plastov, G.G.Plastov, N.A.Plastov, N.N.Plastov from the collections of the collections of the State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, Ulyanovsk District Fine Art Museum, Saratov State Fine Art Museum named after A.Radishchev, Tver District Art Museum and from the Nikolai Plastovs studio.
