The Ufa State Academy of Arts is one of the leading creative institutions in Russia.
In 1968 the institute of arts was opened in Ufa. Today this is the Ufa State Academy of Arts by Zagir Ismagilov, found under jurisdiction of the Federal Culture and Cinematography Agency of Russia. This is the unique educational institution for Bashkortostan, being a combination of conservatory, theatrical and art institution. At the same time the academy is one of the leading art institutions in Russia, where eastern and western European traditions are synthesized and original national Bashkir culture is enriched by academician traditions.
