Ulyanovsk Regional Art Museum - one of the oldest museums in the Volga region, holds the most valuable cultural asset of all-Russian and world importance. Collection of the Art Museum began to take shape in 1895 as an art section of historical and archaeological museum Simbirsk provincial scientific archive committee. Among the masterpieces of Western art, determining the originality of the collection include works by outstanding masters of France, Spain, Holland, 16-17 centuries.
