Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts was founded in 1945 as originally named Tashkent State Institute of Theatre Art. The name of the Institute, however, has been changed for a few times until 2007 when the present name was given. In 2005 in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan I. Karimov a new modern education complex was put into use.
