Artists / Ryazan State Regional Art Museum
The Ryazan State Regional Art Museum was founded by representatives of Russian’s intelligentsia.
Collection includes painting, graphic works, sculpture, decorative-applied and folk arts by Russian and West-European masters XV-XX centuries. Collection consists gifts, nationalizated collections, from State Museum Fund, Ministery of Culture. expeditions purchase works and contemporary artists variouns exhibitions add to the constant expositions, Russian art being the main party. Many famous masters are connected with Ryazan: F.A. Malyavin, graphic P.M. Boklevsky, sculptor A.S. Golubkina.
West-European art is presented by Italian, Dutch, French schools. The applied art collection includes work of Ryazan art trade masters: Scopin ceramics, Mikhaylov lace, Sapozhok weaving, Kadom embroidery
