Artists / Vladimir State University for the Humanities
The history of the university goes back to the year 1919, when the former Vladimir Teachers’ Seminary was transformed into the Vladimir Institute of Public Education. Later, in 1939 it was named the Vladimir State Teachers’ Institute. In 1949 the Vladimir State Teachers’ Training Institute was established by being transformed from the former institute, and subsequently, in 1993 it was granted the status of pedagogical university. Since 2008 it is Vladimir State University for the Humanities.
