An iconic Moscow place - Mayakovka. Here is the epicenter of culture, business, science and special services. :)
Triumphalnaya Square (in 1935-1992 - Mayakovsky Square). The central attraction of the place was the monument to Vladimir Mayakovsky, it was opened on July 29, 1958. In the 1950s, dudes spent their time here, in the 1960s young poets read poetry. In the 1970s, the area near the monument attracted hippies, and in the 1980s and 1990s, rockers and punks took over this place. Now there are concerts of street musicians and young people hanging out here. Around the square there are many iconic institutions, the Concert Hall. PI Tchaikovsky, the Theater of Satire, the Bulgakov House Museum-Theater, and the main dominant of the square is the Pekin Hotel (project author Dmitry Chechulin).
